1. Data controller
Your personal data is processed by Silsile Yayın Teknolojileri (email: info@silsilepress.com) as the data controller.
2. Personal data processed
- Identity: first and last name.
- Contact: email address; your phone number if you reach us on WhatsApp or by phone.
- Professional: your institution, country and type of organisation.
- Request: the topics you are interested in and your message.
- Transaction security: IP address. It is held in server memory for at most one minute, only to block a burst of submissions, and is not stored.
3. Purposes
- Receiving, reviewing and responding to your request.
- Preparing a proposal and conducting pre-contract discussions if you ask us to.
- Preventing abuse of the form by automated submissions.
4. Legal grounds
Your personal data is processed on the grounds set out in Article 5(2)(c) of the Law, where processing is necessary and directly related to the conclusion of a contract with you, and Article 5(2)(f), where processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.
5. Method of collection
Your personal data is collected electronically and by automated means through the form on our website.
6. Transfers
Form submissions are not stored on our server; they are sent to us by email. In the process, your personal data is transferred to our server hosting provider (Google Cloud) and our email service provider (Google Workspace). As these providers may operate servers outside Türkiye, such transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the Law.
If you choose to write to us on WhatsApp, your phone number, profile name and messages are processed on the infrastructure of Meta Platforms, which provides WhatsApp, and may be transferred to servers outside Türkiye. Using this channel is optional; you can send the same request through the form or by email.
Otherwise, your personal data may only be disclosed to public authorities legally entitled to request it, to the extent required by law. It is not shared with third parties for marketing.
7. Retention
Correspondence about your request is kept for one year after the request is concluded and then deleted. If your request leads to a contract, the retention periods required by the applicable legislation apply.
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the Law, you may apply to the data controller to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed,
- request information if it has been processed,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
- know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it has been transferred,
- request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- request erasure or destruction under the conditions in Article 7 of the Law,
- request that third parties to whom the data was transferred be notified of such correction, erasure or destruction,
- object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis,
- claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
9. How to apply
You may submit your requests with a secure electronic or mobile signature or from an email address you have previously notified to us and that is registered in our systems, to info@silsilepress.com, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller.
Requests are concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest. Where the request involves an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board.
